Automating RSS
You can have Safari notify you instantly when your RSS pages have new articles, and you can set other RSS preferences.
To set RSS preferences:

Choose Action menu > Preferences and click RSS. (The Action menu is near the upper-right corner of the Safari window, and looks like a gear.)

Make your selections. For more information about the options, click the Help button (looks like a question mark).
